In order to stabilize the performance of pneumatic butterfly valve, it is recommended to pay attention to the following factors.
Before use, apply the water to clean the pipe and body through the flow part to prevent residual scrap and other debris into the body cavity.
2. The butterfly valve in the closed state, the body inside remains a part of the medium, also under certain pressure. Before overhauling the butterfly valve, close the shutoff valve before the butterfly valve, open the butterfly valve that needs to be repaired, and completely release the internal pressure of the valve body. If it is an electric butterfly valve or pneumatic butterfly valve, the power source and air source should be disconnected first.
3. General soft sealing butterfly valve is used as sealing material using teflon or rubber, and the sealing surface of the seal butterfly valve is made of metal surfacing. If the butterfly valve is to be cleaned, be careful to prevent the leakage of the sealing ring.
When the flanged butterfly valve is removed, the bolt nuts on the flanges should be fixed first, then all the nuts are slightly tightened and the final strength is fixed. If the individual nuts are first fixed and the other nut is fixed, the flanged surface will be damaged or broken due to the unevenness of the flange, leading to the leakage of the valve flange.
5. The pneumatic butterfly valve is reminded that if the valve is cleaned, the solvent used must not conflict with the parts to be cleaned and not corrode. If it is a gas - operated ball valve and butterfly valve, it can be cleaned with gasoline. Other parts are generally washed with medium water. When cleaning, thoroughly clean traces of dirt, grease and other attached objects, such as cannot be cleaned with water, but without causing damage to the valve body and component under the premise of targeted detergent for cleaning with alcohol, etc. After cleaning, after the cleaning agent is completely evaporated and then assembled.
6. If there is a slight leakage in the packing area during the use, tighten the stem nut slightly and tighten until the leakage stops.
7. Long open storage will result in corrosion of valve body and parts, which can not be used normally. The ball valve should be kept in the rain, waterproof, moisture proof, and tight flange cover. Valves stored for more than 12 months should be retested when used to ensure stable performance.
